The Decision Data 6520/21 matrix printer has a model that fits your printing requirements - select from coax, twinax, or parallel models. With the coax and twinax versions, you can automatically switch to the parallel interface, giving you added flexibility in printer resource management. Or, choose the parallel-only model for your personal printing needs

Supports flexible print modes
The Decision Data 6520/21 supports a range of print speeds for handling draft and letter quality documents from 320 cps in FastDraft, 270 cps in Draft, and 65 cps in Near Letter Quality. Standard support for four fonts and six pitches for a total of twenty-four print styles plus Proprinter emulation, allows you to run the most popular software programs. Multinational and standard international print language groups are available to use on all your business document needs.

Handles paper efficiently
Handling up to six-part forms or thick paper stock through straight paper paths gives you more flexibility in your printing process. You can select the front paper slot to push or pull continuous forms: feed cut sheets, envelopes and labels through the secondary front slot: or pull forms through the bottom. The auto-load assist feature automatically positions the paper at the first print line. By simply parking the paper and flipping a switch on the operator panel, you can move between continuous forms and cut sheet paper. To save time and wasted forms, the 6520/21 also offers a zero line tear-off feature which automatically advances a form to the proper tear-off position, then repositions the next form for printing. All these features and more are available on the 6520 80-column and the 6521 132-column matrix printers.

Simplifies printing operation
Decision Data's 6520/21 control panel uses single function commands making printer setup simple. For easy configuration, the 6520/21 allows four different sets of configuration values to be saved, then simply selected from the keypad. With the keypad lock option your configurations cannot be changed accidentally, providing increased printer security. The control panel allows you to easily select between your host printing interface and parallel mode. You have additional flexibility in changing host-controlled printer commands, for specialized report printing, with the host override option.
